Longtime Goalie Academy client Kris Carlsonwas tapped as the North American Hockey League Central Division Star of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Carlson, who minds the net for the Austin Bruins, led his club to a road sweep of the Aberdeen Wings last weekend. The 18-year-old Centreville native allowed three goals on 52 shots in those two games.
"Kris has given our group a consistent presence in net and has given us an opportunity to win every single game. His technical abilities are continuing to develop along with his confidence and we look forward to him having a great season,” Austin head coach Kyle Grabowski said.
The Easton Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2015-16 regular season that honors the top performing players in each of the four NAHL divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the Divisional Players of the Week award.
